Community Spotlight: Harmony Hospice & Bayada Home Health Care

ElderHealth would like to shine a spotlight on helpful community organizations that align with our mission and values. This month, we’d like to share our highest recommendation for Harmony Hospice and Bayada Home Health Care that provide end-of-life care services to geriatric patients in Tucson, Arizona.

Every month, Harmony Hospice holds a free community event called the Food For Thought Lunchtime Series. Each session provides educational information for families and caregivers on various topics. The upcoming event on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm will feature the ElderHealth team in a Panel Discussion: Putting Supports in Place And Preparing For Change. During the panel discussion, ElderHealth doctors and nurses will be available to answer questions and address your concerns on aging in place and preparing for hospice care.

Harmony Hospice is a locally owned, community-based hospice, specializing in compassionate end-of-life care. Community-based education is an integral part of our mission. We hold various support groups, education seminars, CEU training, and in-service training on a multitude of topics throughout the year. We are ecstatic to have Dr. Self and her team present at one of our free “Food for Thoughts” this month. As a member of the Regional Leadership Council for the Desert Southwest Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, our CEO/Owner is passionate about education and care for those suffering with Dementia and related diseases. We are looking forward to this unique opportunity to learn from ElderHealth!

This free event is open to the public and will be in person at Harmony Hospice. A complimentary light lunch will be served; sponsored by Bayada Home Health Care.

Our private aides work alongside hospice and can be there with the client and families when end of life approaches. Their compassion and knowledge of their clients allows them to communicate with hospice staff, so families can focus on being with their loved one at such a sensitive time.
